“I can’t say enough good things about Leon and Transmatics! I was in a bind from out of town and looked up transmission and auto repair shops in the Tampa area. Reading numerous 5 star reviews especially from the Ladies I gave Transmatics a call. I was very pleasantly surprised. Leon is very easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable and Very honest. Right off the bat I could tell I was talking not only to an expert but a true Gentleman. He will find you ways to save money! Incredible! I have searched the West Palm area for years to find a good mechanic. My cars have been screwed up and I was ripped off so bad you would not believe the stories! 2 other shops major shops, Ammco and Atlas were completely wrong in trouble shooting the problems! It is Very Very refreshing in this day and age and especially in the auto repair industry, rampant with incompetence and rip-offs to find Such a man and a business! He had my car towed no charge and figured out a very Strong Raw Fu el odor and shifting problems! And without having to remove and take apart the transmission recommended by the other shops! The problems fixed and at a very reasonable price! Get the word out! It doesn’t get any better folks! I will travel 200 miles in the future if need be, that's how impressed I am!”

“I can't say enough about the service here. Ladies you can let your guard down here. Leon is honest and a very smart mechanic. He put a new transmission in my 2002 Honda 3yrs ago and it's still running like a new car. He's also helped a friend with a transmission for 2004 maxima. I ask him every time there's a problem. Sometimes it's nothing but he always gets it right. Just yesterday, I had a problem that I thought was an emergency fixed quickly and he wouldn't even take a tip or anything. No mechanic or any business does that these days. I will give credit where credit is due. He's definitely your best bet.”

“Yesterday I went to drive my car and it would not go into gear so I had it towed to my normal mechanic which called and gave me a price this morning of $768. That seemed a bit high to my husband for a cable so I decided to do some price checks and found Leon at Transmatic Transmissions and he fixed my vehicle for $100 in less than an hour without even having an appointment. My old mechanic, Honest One, is a mechanic I've been going to for years and i trusted them and have spent alot of money with them. We have found our new mechanic which I highly recommend to anyone.”

“A few days ago I was desperately looking for a transmission repair shop to have a leak repaired. I originally went to Firestone and was quoted a price that was more than I could afford so I decided to get a few more estimates. After looking up shops in my area I chose Transmatics Transmission. After speaking with Mr Leon He told me to bring in the vehicle. I waited on "pins and needles" to hear what it would cost and when I heard back from Mr Leon I could not believe it. “TRUST TRANSMATICS! Last week my husband and I and our two adult sons were on vacation in the Tampa Bay area. On our way out of town to drive back north, our Suburban decided it wanted to stay in Tampa instead....our transmission needed to be replaced. When I searched near our location ( the truck wouldn't shift any higher than second gear,) we had three options. I chose Transmatics Transmission based on the great reviews, and I am SO GLAD that I did. Not only did they look at our truck late in the day, without an appointment, but they allowed us to use there office to make rental car and hotel reservations. Then they did the most incredible thing....they worked on the truck the next day, staying late to finish it so that we could head home! This was especially wonderful since two of the four of us needed to return to work, and I was injured from a painful fall and needed to be at home to recover. Throughout the entire experience Leon was kind, helpful, informative, professional, and just genuinely a pleasure. I would highly recommend Transmatics Transmission N Auto Repair. “After going all over Tampa shopping for the right place to get a new transmission for my Ford Edge, my husband and I made the right choice with Leon at Transmatics, on time, in Monday afternoon out Wednesday afternoon as promised. Fair price, no nonsense here. Honest guys, he tried to save a thousand bucks by saving my old tranny, appreciate the effort. And finally, the BEST Warranty around. My baby is riding smooth as butter, Thank you guys. By the way, the shop is huge and brand new.”

“This was a great experience. I am new to town, had a problem with my Tahoe and was worried about where to take it. I lucked into finding Transmatic Transmissions. I thought I knew what the problem was but I was wrong. They found that it was something simple, they fixed it, and I got charged NOTHING! how often does that happen? “Transmissions. I haven't been treated this well by a mechanic in over 10 years!!! I had just gotten off I-75 for a business meeting, thankfully an hour early, when my car started making a weird noise. While I was driving I was turning everything on and off to see what the cause was, but couldn't figure it out. I got to my destination and immediately popped the hood and called my brother. Long story short he figured it was most likely something related to the transmission. So I looked up Transmission Mechanic on Google Maps and Transmatics Transmissions was right around the corner. I drove my car over and spoke to Leon immediately after arriving. He drove the car around the lot and told me he would find the problem. He then offered to DRIVE ME back to my meeting! I don't know of any mechanic anywhere that would do that, even if it were around the corner! I got a call later from Leon stating that they wouldn't be able to fix it today because the part wouldn't come in on time. After I told him I didn't want stay unless absolutely necessary he offer another solution that wouldn't risk destroying my car on the ride home so that I could have it fixed later. I opted for Plan B, then Leon came and PICKED ME UP from my meeting! Other than not having AC for the ride home, the consequence of Plan B-thoroughly explained beforehand, I felt like a princess. And they only charged my $60 for taking apart my engine and telling me exactly what my problem was. Now my brother can fix it this weekend! Thank you Transmatics!”

“My sister just moved here and sadly her car broke down. After a free tow to Transmatics, she was treated with respect and, most importantly, honestly. i would recommend Transmatics to anyone that needs their car repaired. I can't remember the last time I heard of a woman's car breaking down and getting treated honestly and not fed a bunch of nonsense on what they need. That absolutely will not happen here!”

“If you don't want another car note, contact Leon. He's a great mechanic. Dealer wanted 4700 for remanufactured transmission. Leon put in a remanufactured transmission for about 2800. It drives great. I plan to drive it another 100,000 miles. I would 100% recommend this shop. Hard to find a good mechanic. I think I will now get all my work done there. He is trustworthy, upfront with prices. I called around other places and they would never really tell me how much It was going to be. They said well I have to check it then I'll let you know. Leon said it will 1600 to rebuild or at worse case 2800 or so for remanufactured. Either way both were better than deal. Thanks Leon. I can use that car not money for other things now.”

“Just a few days ago my transmission started slipping a bit. Then it started making some very nasty growling noises. Got into a parking lot and every gear acted like neutral; my transmission was TOAST! Looked into a lot of different shops and was really starting to question if I should even keep my van or just get a new one because of the high costs everywhere I called for rebuilt transmissions. I heard about Transmatic Transmissions from a trusted mechanic. When I called, a tech answered the phone. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. When he learned that I drove a van he immediately asked if it was a work van. I said yes and he quickly figured out what it would take to get it done as fast as possible so that I can keep working. I had my van towed there and 1.5 days later they called me letting me know I was good to go! Very good turnaround time! My transmission repair was HALF the cost of most other places I called!”
